这种安全套用于女性阴道内，它有多个形态。在使用前，它是一种液体；喷到阴道内，就会在局部形成一层薄薄的固态凝胶体保护层。可是当它的“目标入侵者”——艾滋病病毒出现时，它又变回液态：一方面，它像一张渔网，能拦截直径为100纳米的病毒；另一方面，若有漏网之鱼，也会被凝胶释放出来的抗病毒物质“消灭”。
